If you live in Kambah, Greenway, Bonython, Isabella Plains, Richardson, Calwell, Theodore, Conder, Banks, Gordon or Tharwa, and follow the schedule of enrolment dates for the current year, you are guaranteed a place at Lake Tuggeranong College

If you live in these suburbs but apply for enrolment at another college and are unsuccessful in gaining a place, you will retain your priority access to Lake Tuggeranong College if you have nominated Lake Tuggeranong College as your second choice.

If you live in another part of Canberra or NSW, and you wish to enrol at Lake Tuggeranong College you will need to provide curriculum evidence that you wish to enrol in one of the unique courses offered at Lake Tuggeranong.

Unique Courses

Lake Tuggeranong College offers courses that are unique to the valley:

  • An Accredited Metal and Wood Technology Course.
  • A Tertiary Level Course in Accounting.
  • An Accredited Course in Outdoor Education.
  • An Accredited course in Agriculture.
  • Tertiary Course in Dance.  
  • Tertiary Level Courses in Chinese (Advanced and Beginners) and ETTL Chinese.
  • A Tertiary Level Course in ETTL (Educated Through The Language). This is available to Mandarin speakers or those with a background in Mandarin.
  • Tertiary and Accredited Level Courses in CAD.
  • A Tertiary Level Course in Glass Art and Design.
  • A Vocational Course in Automotive Technology.
  • A Vocational Course in Interactive Multimedia.
  • Certificate II in IT. 

 

Special Programs

Lake Tuggeranong College has established courses of study that provide students with unique opportunities to pursue their particular interests:

  • Flight - This course has been designed for students wishing to pursue a career in aviation.
  • Special Vehicles Projects - The College has an extensive program involving the design, production and operation of energy efficient vehicles and boats.
  • LakeSport - This is an R unit program in a range of sports, including rowing and soccer.
  • Work and Society - This is a Double Major Course at A Level designed to provide students with skills to assist easy entry into the workforce and includes one day a week of work experience.
  • Multimedia Package - Students will have the opportunity to study a package leading to the award of a CIT recognised Certificate II in Interactive Multimedia.
  • International Private Students Program - The College is a popular choice with overseas students. The College provides extensive advice, support and a tutorial program designed to assist these students.
