Glass Art & Design

In this very special program at Lake Tuggeranong College students are able to produce kiln formed art glass. The glass is cut and fused at temperatures of 820 degrees C by the students. Glass units are part of the Art and Design course so they can be mixed and matched with other art units.

But what makes Glass Art so special? Glass Art in the A.C.T is gaining international recognition with the recent opening of the Canberra Glass Centre. Students can continue to study glass after graduating from year 12 at the Canberra school of Art (Glass Workshop) and become recognised studio glass artists or they can simply enjoy a special subject at Lake Tuggeranong College.
